Glimpses of Haiti - Part 2

Life Is Back in the Village

After the August 2021 earthquake on the Southern peninsula of Haiti, people in Chendan (a small community in Pestel) had a hard time finding water to use and to drink because all the springs in that village were destroyed and filled with rubbish. You can not even imagine how terrible that was.

The only way that people could get water was to walk for several hours until they can find water somewhere else or pray and wait until God send the rain.

When they finally got the rain, they don’t have enough vessels to capture the water.

Because Haiti Awake was working on building houses for people there, we saw how great the need was and decided to help the villagers by building a big reservoir for them in that village to capture water from the rain.

What a blessing to this community!

Haiti Awake couldn’t have done that without your tremendous generosity. Our gratitude to you, Dear Friends. Thank you so much!
