Yo bay kouran = There’s electricity

Yo bay kouran is a sentense used by many people who live in Haiti whether permanently or for a short period of time.

This sentence is used to describe how inconsistent the city power is in Haiti. That being said, having city power is always and always a surprise, because no one knows when we will have it.

It doesn’t matter where you live in Haiti, you will hear people screaming out loud “yo bay kouran, when there’s electricity.

This week by God’s grace, “yo bay kouran” at the juvenile prison - CERMICOL - in Delmas.

Because of your faithful generosity toward the ministry of Haiti Awake, after a long time without consistent power at the boys’ prison, after a long time their generator had been broken down, Haiti Awake had sent technicians to fix that big generator to make the life of those boys better. What a joy for everyone there.
