The Privilege of Serving in the Kingdom
This week, we, at Haiti Awake had the opportunity to do outreach in a very isolate place in Haiti called Opack.
This place is Isolated, yes but it is a very nice and peaceful community. This place is located outside of Port-au-prince, in Leogane, where we brought food for people in the community and, clothing and shoes for the church members.
Most people in this community (men and women) are farmers. Unfortunately during the passage of Laura's Storm they had lost many things in their gardens.
But it was a privilege for us to do outreach there this week and be able to help more than 50 people. It was a very long and tiring journey, where we had to climb a big mountain for almost 4 hours just one way and cross a big river.
We had left our houses at 7 o'clock in the morning, and we arrived at 4 PM. But we are very thankful to God Who guided us to meet those nice people at Opack, especially people at Philadelphia's Church of Opack.
We are thankful for the friendship we have with Pastor Romanes, and it is a privilege for us at Haiti Awake to work with him for the Kingdom of God. We are thankful to all of our friends who contributed to make this trip possible. Thank you, Friends, for the clothes and shoes that you have sent to Haiti Awake. Thank you for the money to buy food.
Please continue to pray for God's providence in this church and this community in general.
Note: Hudson made some nice videos, too. If you check our Instagram or Facebook, you can see those to help you understand a little more of our journey. There’s also a link to a YouTube video below.
